We are looking for an addition to our group analysing traffic patterns and system logs. As part of this team, you will operate and develop services based on various commercial and open-source security products within networks, such as IDS and IPS. As well as be part of the operation and development of network detection sensors.

What you will do

You will get the opportunity to work with a wide range of tasks, like:

• Operate and develop a large group of network detection sensors
• Automation of network detection sensors using configuration management systems and scripting languages
• Develop and maintain network IDS signatures
• Identify, analyse, evaluate and respond to security threats targeting our customers
• Work on the development, configuration and implementation of products that support security monitoring, packet brokers and IDS/IPS.
• Set up and optimise equipment to detect and prevent threats, and work with customers to troubleshoot network issues and answer security-related issues

What you will bring

The ideal candidate has a background from areas like CSIRT / CERT or SOC and feels at home with some of the following - it does not have to be all:

• Intermediate Linux user
• Operating Linux servers
• Knowledge of network intrusion detection based systems
• Experience with analysing network evidence
• Development in python and/or golang
• Development of network detection use-cases
• Is highly motivated to work with information security, and wants to further develop their expertise in security analysis
• Has the ability to clearly communicate complex technical information
